Buse Babadağ was born in Istanbul, Turkey, where she started her ballet training at Istanbul University State Conservatory under Christopher Poluch. After five years, she was accepted to Munich Ballet Academy in Germany, where she trained in the Russian technique with world-renowned artists and performed at Heinz Bosl Stiftung Matinee with Bayerisches StaatsBallet’s Junior Company. She graduated from Munich Ballet Academy with a Bachelor’s diploma of dance.
Babadağ was chosen to perform Kirill Melnikov’s Cinderella pas de deux at Biennalle Dance Education 2014/Dresden Gala. That same year, she was invited to perform the Romeo and Juliet Balcony pas de deux in Rome, Pisa, Toscana, and Cairo.
In 2014, Babadağ moved to the United States to join Tulsa Ballet II, where she spent one season before joining Dance Alive National Ballet in Gainesville, Fla. After three seasons as a company member with Dance Alive, she was promoted to a soloist in 2017 before joining Indianapolis Ballet as a company member for its first full season in August 2018.
Babadağ’s repertoire includes works of William Forsythe and Balanchine and Bournoville techniques.
