Xander Visker started ballet at the age of 8 at Paris Ballet and Dance in Jupiter, Florida. Under the guidance of director Jean-Hugues Feray, he attended BAK Middle School for the Arts and was later accepted to The HARID Conservatory. At HARID, he continued his ballet training under the tutelage of Victoria Schneider and Elexey Kulpin. He also completed complementary classes such as music theory, piano, and nutrition.

In 2017, Visker attended Dreyfoos School for the Arts and Ballet East. His faculty at Ballet East included Andréa Gregori, Doreen Cafarella, and Marcie Russo. He then attended Boston Ballet as a Trainee under the direction of Peter Stark. He performed works such as Le Conservatorie choreographed by August Bournonville, Sir Frederick Ashton’s Cinderella, and Mikko Nissinen’s The Nutcracker.

Xander was then accepted into the Ballet Department of Indiana University Jacobs School of Music. He trained under Chair, Sarah Wroth, as well as the other esteemed faculty, including Micheal Vernon, Kyra Nichols, Carla Körbes, Sasha Janes and Christian Claessens. During his time there he performed works such as Mark Morris’ Drink to Me Only with Thine Eyes, Michael Vernon’s The Nutcracker, George Balanchine’s Donizetti Variations, August Bournonville’s Pas de Sept, and Justin Peck’s In Creases. After completing his Bachelors of Science in Ballet with an Outside Field in Business, he could not be more excited to continue his love for ballet at Indianapolis Ballet.
