Claire Glavin grew up in Evanston, Illinois and received her early training from Dance Center Evanston and The Joffrey Ballet Academy. While in high school, she danced as a trainee with The Joffrey Ballet and Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre. Claire performed in various main company productions with Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre including La Bayadere, The Nutcracker, and Beauty and the Beast. She then went on to dance with Oklahoma City Ballet for three seasons and Sarasota Ballet for four seasons. Claire was awarded Silver in the Senior Classical division of the Universal Ballet Competition and Bronze in the Senior Finalist Division of the World Ballet Competition.

Some of her favorite roles she has danced include the soloist in Sir Peter Wright’s Summertide, the principal pas de deux in Balanchine's Concerto BaroccoAll the Way couple in Tharp's Nine Sinatra Songs, Balanchine's Western Symphony, and the soloist pas de deux in Graziano's In a State of Weightlessness

Claire is looking forward to starting her first season with Indianapolis Ballet.
