Gabriela Gutierrez began her training at the age of five in Venezuela at Ballet Clásico de Caracas under the direction of former prima ballerina Nina Novak. She then moved to Perú where she continued her training with award winning studio Danzaira led by Suzanne Neumann. At 13, Gabriela was offered a full scholarship to study at The Rock School for Dance Education in Philadelphia, PA, where she remained for five years. Throughout her time there, Gabriela performed excerpts and variations from Ballets such as The Sleeping Beauty, Paquita, Swan Lake, Don Quixote, La Bayadère, and Le Corsaire, as well as many contemporary pieces choreographed by Rock School’s Ballet Masters Justin Allen and Telmo Moreira. During this time, she also trained in various summer intensives on full scholarships including ABT, Pacific Northwest Ballet, The Rock School for Dance Education, and Harid Ballet. She also got the opportunity to dance alongside Ballet Nacional de Panamá as a guest artist during the summers of 2019 through 2023 dancing soloist roles including the Diamond Fairy and the Lilac Fairy in The Sleeping Beauty, the Sugar Plum Fairy in The Nutcracker, Corps de Ballet in Paquita, and Queen of Dryads in Don Quixote.

Upon high school graduation, Gabriela decided to attend Butler University on full tuition scholarship to study Dance and Arts Administration, from which she graduated with highest honors. While studying to get her degree, Gabriela had the opportunity to perform many roles most notably as Cinderella in Butler Ballet’s production of Cinderella, as well as various parts in The Nutcracker including the Sugar Plum Fairy during her junior year of studies and Snow Queen, corps de ballet in Coppelia’s Dance of the Hours, Swan Lake, and the principal dancer in Ramon Flowers’ How Bitter the Fruit/Dixon’s Groove. She also had the opportunity to work with renowned repetiteur Deborah Wingert and choreographer Jennifer Archibald. During her free time, Gabriela loves to watch movies with her friends, read a good book, and try new baking recipes.
