Grace Mullins

Apprentice

Grace Mullins of Brownsburg, Indiana, started dancing at age four. In 2009, she began training at Indiana University’s Pre-College Ballet Program under the direction of Doricha Sales and Michael Vernon. In 2016, Mullins attended Miami City Ballet School where she trained with Arantxa Ochoa, Francis Veyette, and other esteemed faculty members. She accepted an apprentice position with Miami City Ballet in 2017. While in Miami, Mullins performed alongside the company in ballets such as George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker and Walpurgisnacht. She also appeared in Miami City Ballet Pre-professional Division’s Pas de Dix and Raymonda Variations.

In 2018, Mullins became a trainee with Boston Ballet School and was then invited to join Boston Ballet II the following year under the direction of Peter Stark. During her time in Boston, Mullins performed in Mikko Nissinen’s The Nutcracker, Arthur Saint-Leon’s Oceans and Pearls, and appeared in Boston Ballet School’s Next Generation program as a lead in August Bournonville’s La Conservatorie. She has also attended summer intensives at Indiana University, Cincinnati Ballet, Miami City Ballet, and Boston Ballet.

Mullins recently graduated Summa Cum Laude from Mercyhurst University in May 2024, where she studied dance under C. Noelle Partusch and minored in marketing. Her repertoire with the Mercyhurst University Dance Department includes Justin Hogan’s The Nutcracker, Jennifer McNamara’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Sidra Bell’s Savage Birds, and Marius Petipa’s Swan Lake. Mullins is excited to join Indianapolis Ballet’s 2024/25 season as an apprentice!
