Jessica was born in Minooka, Illinois and spent most of her childhood in Indiana. She began her training at the Academy of Ballet Internationale where she had the opportunity to perform alongside the company in many ballets including The Nutcracker, Don Quixote, Le Corsaire, Peter Pan, and The Sleeping Beauty. After her time with Ballet Internationale, Ms. Miller also trained at Butler’s Jordan Academy of Dance and with Gregory Hancock Dance Theatre. With GHDT she toured both nationally and internationally and was one of the founding members of G2, the company’s student company. After high school she received her BFA in dance from SUNY Purchase with a concentration in ballet. While there she trained under Bettijane Sills, Ted Kivitt, and Michelle Lucci among others. As part of the Purchase Dance Corps, Ms. Miller performed works by many choreographers including Helen Picket, Jessica Lang, and Merce Cunningham. After graduating she worked with American Contemporary Ballet in Los Angeles and Terra Firma Dance Theatre in New York and Washington DC.

Ms. Miller joined Indianapolis Ballet as a founding company member in 2018. She has originated roles in ballets choreographed by Victoria Lyras, Paul Vitali, Kristin Toner, and Shea Johnson. Her Balanchine repertoire with the company includes Dark Angel in Serenade, Tall Girl in Rubies, Fascinating Rhythm and Man I Love in Who Cares?, and various roles in ballets such as The Four Temperaments, Raymonda Variations, and Allegro Brilliant. Some of her other roles of note include Dew Drop, Sugar Plum Fairy, and Snow Queen in The Nutcracker, Odette/Odile in Swan Lake, and Aurora in The Sleeping Beauty. Since joining the company she has also performed works by Josh Bergasse, Scott Jovovich, and Ramon Flowers. Alongside her performing career, Ms. Miller is also the Outreach Coordinator for Indianapolis Ballet and on faculty at various local dance studios including Indianapolis School of Ballet. She is also certified in Progressing Ballet Technique.
