Madison Carrión

Apprentice

Madison Carrión began her dance journey at the age of 5 at Inspira Performing Arts in New Jersey where she trained in a variety of styles, including ballet, modern (Horton and Graham techniques), jazz, contemporary, and hip-hop. Encouraged by her ballet teacher, Lanette Costas, she soon found her passion and pursued formal ballet training.

She received her ballet education at Princeton Ballet School under the direction of Aydmara Cabrera and further developed her technique at Princeton Dance Theatre under the direction of Risa Kaplowitz and later Talin Kenar, following the ABT curriculum. There, she performed notable roles such as Marie in The Nutcracker and the title role in Cinderella.

Madison further enhanced her skills as a trainee with the School of Philadelphia Ballet under the direction of Davit Karapetyan. During this time, she was chosen to perform in the company’s productions of George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker (Snow, Flowers, and Tea) and Angel Corella’s Giselle as a Wili.

Her past summer intensive experiences include prestigious programs at the School of American Ballet, American Ballet Theatre, Philadelphia Ballet, and Orlando Ballet.

Outside of ballet, Madison enjoys traveling and has visited 12 countries so far. She is excited to be starting her professional career with Indianapolis Ballet.
